[edit | edit source]Late Summer and late winter, 1554-1555 (Philippa left England in late 1552 and this is described as two years later; she spent the summer of 1554 travelling through Europe and then travelled from Calais to Tyneside. The section about Lymond says "spring was coming", presumably spring 1555. The chronological relationship between the scene with Philippa and the scene with Lymond is not clear.)
