Abstract

[edit | edit source]

The article was written in 2006 in response to a reader who found Lymond as Thady Boy Ballagh "unattractive". She counters this view commencing with the psychological insights we gain into Lymond, his brutal background pre-QP and how possible PTSD accounts for many of his actions in QP. She also argues that he already knows all the lessons he supposedly learns in QP. Indeed, she argues that it is Phelim O'LiamRoe and Margaret Erskine who learn the most.
