Pawn In Frankincense - Chapter 8 - Mehedia

Plot Summary

Feeling that there is no time to be lost and leaving Marthe and Salablanca behind, Jerott sets off for Mehedia. He finds the family of silk-growers and in Mehedia finally comes face to face with Khaireddin and Kedi but not in circumstances he had expected. Instead of rescuing them he finds himself in a perilous situation. On his return, Francis sees that this is Gabriel’s trap and the company follows Jerott to Mehedia. Arriving after the gates have closed, they gain access by subterfuge. When they reach the house of the silk-grower’s sister, they find it deserted and the silk cocoons destroyed by fire.

Dates
