Plot Summary

At Flaw Valleys, Lymond is announced to be arriving; a party of people including Richard, Jerott, Philippa and Archie start out on horseback to meet him. Marthe, too, is on her way to Flaw Valleys, as is Austin Grey, intent on revenge. As the parties meet, there is an exchange of shots, leaving two people dead.

• Lymond travels the following day to Flaw Valleys.
