==Abstract==
* The article is a written response to a break-out session from the 2022 Dunnett Weekend, 'Is there a character with whom you would like a sharp word?'. First, the author sites the general opinions of Anselm Adorne, Marian de Charetty and Claes/Nicholas. The reader is then presented with eight scenes which support the author's view that Felix is shallow, thoughtless, unkind, selfish, vain and pompous, all of which gave Dorothy Dunnett chances for spectacular writing.
