<spoiler> Zacco holds a meeting to assess the consequences of the Turk victory at Negroponte. Ludo wants Nicholas to fund a war to stop the Turks. Nicholas discovers that his missing three mule-loads is on Rhodes in possession of the Knights of St John, and they will reward him for letting them use it. Nicholas departs from the meeting alone but does not return to Famagusta. </spoiler>
